I looked into every solution all summer and for basic CMS this is just perfect. I only found it by using the right search term, 'browser based CMS' I think. Previously everything that pulled up were the hair pulling sql/php hair pulling things. Those solutions are like using a bazooka to swat a fly. This script allows you to open up whatever HJT files are located in the directory. If you have a family tree file, a journal, some notes, or any other files in the same directory, then the script prompts you to open the HJT file of your choice.
Registered version comes with web online editing capability, searching, password protected nodes, multi-user editing passwords for specific nodes, and unlimited support and updates!
The password protection and editing features have been improved in this new version, and other changes such as node numbering have been added. Also, it is no longer necessary to upload HJT files in ASCII format.

Itreepad_plus installed easily and was up an running in a couple minutes, however it does not do anything with rtf messages which made it almost useless. (Editor.: Actually, it does show basic RTF, but you need to save your iTreePad in the html format before uploading.) Thanks for iTreepad! I've been a fan of TreePad for years. I have over a dozen databases that hold all the stuff that won't fit in my brain ;-) Cheers! -- Karen
