This simple script will show random text or HTML every time a page is loaded. The database is a simple text file with chunks of text separated by special characters.

What to place random quotes in a footer on every page? Perhaps you'd like to change HTML in the body of your document each time someone visits your site? This script is an easy solution: it reads a text file which you've created ahead of time, randomly chooses one of these clips of text, and prints it to the users browser anywhere in the document you want it to.

Include a snippet of HTML, like a random link, or the code for an image. Put a random testimonial on your pages... the options are virtually endless.

You must be able to use SHTML pages, otherwise known as server side includes (SSI). A server side include is a way to include the results of a Perl script in a page in real time.

What People Say

Browser Page Editor $0
Add to Cart I looked into every solution all summer and for basic CMS this is just perfect. I only found it by using the right search term, 'browser based CMS' I think. Previously everything that pulled up were the hair pulling sql/php hair pulling things. Those solutions are like using a bazooka to swat a fly. Joomla's powerful but a nightmare when clients already have highly specific designs they don't want changed.
